Established in 1986, Medivision Optometrist has proudly provided exceptional eye care to generations of families. In 2014, the practice entered an exciting new chapter when Zainab Peer, a University of Johannesburg graduate (Bachelor of Optometry, 2007), took ownership after gaining valuable experience practising in Cape Town.
With 20 years of clinical experience, Zainab is passionate about helping patients achieve the best possible vision while building lasting relationships with every family she cares for. She believes every eye examination is an opportunity to improve not only vision but overall eye health through early detection and personalised care.
Today, Medivision Optometrist is a trusted family optometry practice, dedicated to delivering professional, compassionate eye care using the latest diagnostic technology. We have expanded our services with a second practice conveniently located inside the Discovery Building, No. 1 Discovery Place, Sandton, making quality eye care even more accessible.
Zainab has a special interest in children’s vision and the early diagnosis and management of ocular diseases. Our practice is equipped with advanced technology, including digital eye testing systems, high-resolution fundus photography for detailed retinal imaging, and modern instruments for examining the front and back of the eye. This allows us to detect eye conditions earlier and provide the highest standard of care.

The optometrist, Zainab is so friendly and efficient. She is also affiliated to medical aid which is an absolute plus. Her range of eye wear gives you the opportunity to be spoilt for choice. In summary friendly and inexpensive and most certainly my favorite optometrist in the area..
